Abstract:

Online medical services based on the internet as the carrier and the technical means include health education, medical information query, electronic health records, disease risk assessment, online seeking advice from doctors, electronic prescriptions, telemedicine and remote treatment and rehabilitation, etc. Ophthalmology has unique advantages in the online medical services. Most diseases in ophthalmology are based on imaging examination. The most image detection methods of ophthalmology are noninvasive and fast, and the image is small and convenient for the transmission on internet even mobile terminal. In order to ensure the quality and safety of ophthalmic online medical services, the specific contents, application scope in ophthalmology, and the standardization of a variety of ophthalmic imaging methods and its transmission on Internet need to be studied.
